Bearded dragon lizards are not easily provoked. This is perhaps one of the reasons why parents prefer them as pets for their children. They can eat almost anything as they are omnivores. Their diet mainly consists of insects but they can also subsist on green vegetables. Additionally they will eat small mice, grasshoppers, and worms.
These lizards have no problem in adapting to any kind of environment. They can live in populated regions, woods, and even deserts.

Bearded Dragon lizards have some peculiar but interesting characteristics that can keep you entertained for hours. Though they are not easily provoked, when they do get upset, a flap of their skin that is situated underneath the jaws goes up. It may also turn a darker color. This phenomenon is also seen in mating season when they need to establish their dominance amongst the females of the species. The flap of the skin looks like a beard and can be displayed by both females and males when they are angry or upset. However, this behavior is more amusing than threatening and hardly impacts your interactions with your pet.

Dogs and cats are some of the most common pet animals on the planet. However, if you are really looking for something exotic, gentle and pet like, then try the bearded dragon lizards. These loyal reptiles can be a source of great joy and delight to you and your loved ones. Besides…having a pet dragon is kind of cool!
